Everyone who tried to bake a goose knows it's a kind of art. Even a greater piece of art is to make such a goose a gourmet pleasure. And this happens in Slovensky Grob. The village known for its baked geese, a popular place for family and company feasts, entered the new millennium with new ambitions. Serving baked geese has really become an industry in the village and the local entrepreneurs try to meet the guests' demands with higher quality, satisfaction and comfort.
Tasteful portion of baked goose needs a glass of a good wine. In past, the goose feasts were an autumn affair when the Low Carpathian slopes were offering a wealth of young wine (which is in Slovakia and some Central European countries drunk also in the begining of fermentation - a sweet thick yellowish juice with a hint of a wine flavour called burciak here). Although autumn still remains the main season, geese are enjoyed all around the year. The best wines from Low Carpathian region are served with the dishes.
